FAQ: General

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We’re thrilled to have you as a client and can’t wait to make you feel fabulous! To keep things running smoothly for everyone, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer your spot to another client and ensures our technician’s time is respected.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not show up for your appointment, we will charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the service cost. We understand life happens, so please reach out as soon as possible if you need to make changes — we’ll do our best to work with you!

  • Do you have parking available?

While we do not have a designated parking lot, there are plenty of options close by to choose from! Street Parking is available on Church Street for two hours. Those visiting us for longer than two hours should choose instead to park in one of the many paid lots available.

Visit our Parking & Directions page for more detailed information.

  • What is your snow policy?

At Sanctuary, we leave the decision of driving in the snow up to each individual technician because they drive from various places in our area - some with more than an hour ride. We will text you with any update regarding your appointment.

Cancellation fees are also waived for any client that does not feel comfortable making the drive in themselves. If you choose to cancel your appointment for tomorrow, please text us to ensure your technician sees it.

FAQ: Cosmetic Tattoos

  • I've had permanent makeup before, but I'm ready for a refresh/touch up.

If you’ve had previous permanent makeup done, you cannot book online. Before booking your refresh appointment, our artists need to give review photos of your existing work and give pre-approval. We require your existing permanent makeup to be faded by at least 50% to ensure your new cosmetic tattoo ages beautifully for years to come— because we’re all about that long-term glow!

If you think your tattoo has faded significantly and evenly, please fill out our Refresh Approval Form. Our team will review your submission and if approved, get you booked.

Here’s the scoop on our refresh pricing for returning Sanctuary clients:

    Brow Refresh – $300
    Lash Line Refresh – $200
    Lip Blush Refresh – $350

If your original permanent makeup was done elsewhere, no worries! You’ll just pay the full price for your first visit with us. Have questions or need help? Give us a shout — we’re here to make this process smooth and fun!

  • Can I book a consultation?

While we do not offer separate consultation appointments, the first portion of your service is a thorough consultation with your artist, that includes mapping of your brow shape, a discussion about your desired results, and the best technique to achieve those results – nano, powder, or combo.

If you have hesitation before booking, we welcome your questions! Please send us an email to info@find-sanctuary.com or give us a call at (484) 753-5553.

  • How long will my cosmetic tattoo last?

Cosmetic tattoing is often refered to as permanent makeup, but it is important to know that it’s really only semi-permanent. Unlike typical tattooing, pigment is applied more superficially in the upper layers of the skin.

You can expect your pigment to last in the skin between 1 and 3 years, with lighter colors tending to fade quicker than darker colors. The biggest impact on the longevity of your pigment will be your skin type and lifestyle.

To maintain your permanent makeup, touch-ups are recommended every 1-3 years. The Lash Line Enhancement and Lip Blush tattoos last longer than the brow tattoos, only requiring touch ups every 2-4 years.

  • Will my cosmetic tattoo hurt?

No, a strong topical anesthetic is applied before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable. Although, sensitivity does vary from person to person. Please do not take any blood thinning medications like Ibuprofen or Aspirin 24 before your procedure.

  • Will my brow tattoo remove my brow hairs?

No! We can work around any hair that you do have without disturbing it. It is our goal to keep the brow as natural as possible. It’s best to come with your brow hair grown in, so, please do not wax for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Can I get multiple services in one day (i.e. combo brows and lip blush)?

Yes! Sometimes it is easier to create a whole picture, rather than doing it one piece at a time. It is definitely possible to get any combination of cosmetic tattoo procedures in one appointment.

  • How long will the swelling last?

Swelling is a common side effect of the Lash Line Enhancement and Lip Blush service. The swelling from either should only lasts 24-48 hours, depending on the individual.

  • Will I look crazy after my appointment?

No! Our permanent makeup philosophy is to highlight your natural beauty, and that means walking out the door feeling your best!

Your brows will be their darkest on the first couple of days, but never so dark that you don’t feel comfortable and confident being seen in public.
